Co-Clens has launched its Chlorhexidine 2% and 0.5% in 70% ethanol in a new red staining formulation – ready to use in 500ml and 200ml bottles, and available now through NHS Supply Chain.
Why red staining
The red tint shows exactly where the solution has been applied, so practitioners can see the area covered at a glance. As with our existing range, it is applied undiluted and allowed to dry thoroughly – no mixing, no dilution.

Red NHS Supply Chain codes link straight to each product. Active ingredients: ethanol 695 ml/L with chlorhexidine 20 g/L (2%) or 5 g/L (0.5%). Tested to EN 13624, EN 13727 and EN 14476; classified as a biocide. Supplied by Co-Clens, an ISO 9001 accredited UK company based in North Yorkshire.
